Tim Burton

You have to give Tim Burton credit for bringing something unique and different to the movies. He has a style that is original, somewhat quirky, and that has really worked.

Both children and adults seem to really love many of his movies. They aren’t predictable and they tend to have characters you can’t help but enjoy.

Beetlejuice starting Michael Keaton and Geena Davis is a fun movie that many people really love. Even those that have seen it over and over again watch it again. This movie is able a couple that buy a home but it is haunted by the previous owners. They called upon Beatlejuice to help them get the new people out of their home. They don’t want to harm them, but they don’t want their home changed either.

It appears that the dead couple didn’t even know they were no longer alive. However, Beetlejuice tends to be more of a hassle than he is worth in many regards. It is a fun movie about life, death, and everything in between.

Another great movie by Burton is Edward Scissorhands with Winnona Ryder and Johnny Depp. Edward is the main character, and he was created by an inventor. However, the inventor died before he was able to create hands for him. When he is integrated into society by a loving family, it is a world that is very different to him.

He falls in love with the young girl in the family, but her friends aren’t very accepting of Edward. They do mean things to him and it is a great movie about doing what is right or going along with your peers. While the idea of Edward is one that is far fetched, by the end of the movie people can’t help but enjoy his heart and his abilities to find the good in people.

Many people don’t know it, but Burton is one of the major contributors to both Batman and Batman returns. These are movies that seem out of his normal element but they were both major hits. These movies also allowed him to explore the side of Batman and to bring more depth to the character than before. He became more than just a superhero for those watching the movies.

Burton has been responsible for some remakes of movies too. Among them are Alice in Wonderland and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Many people have mixed feelings about them. They feel Burton’s portrayal makes the movies darker and harder for young children to enjoy.

Perhaps one of the best known of all Burton films is the Nightmare before Christmas. It is an animated movie with the main character, Jack, trying to find his place in the world. He also did another animated show that was similar in style called The Corpse Bride. Both of them did well, but the following for them seems to be more with adults than children. He has a couple of movies in the works right now, so fans of Burton will be sure to have something new to look forward to before they know it.
